Votchina privacy policy
Effective September 25, 2026.
Votchina is a free game with no ads. It is made by an individual developer and contains no analytics, no ad networks and no third-party tracking. Email for questions and deletion requests: gornitsa.games@gmail.com.
Playing on your phone
Games against bots and pass-and-play games send nothing anywhere. A game by link goes only where you send the link yourself — it never passes through our server. Settings, saved games and history stay on your phone.
Playing in a browser
The web version (/play/) works the same way: whatever the phone keeps in its own storage, the browser keeps in its storage (localStorage), and none of it goes to the server. There are no cookies. A game-by-link address carries the move after the “#” sign — the browser never sends that part of an address to the server. If you clear the site data in your browser, the key of your online profile goes with it; you can move your profile beforehand under Profile → Manage profile.
Playing online: what the server keeps
- The nickname you chose and a six-character tag that friends use to add you.
- A fingerprint of your device key. The server issues the key on first use; the key itself is stored only on your phone, and the server keeps only its SHA-256 hash. The game never asks for an email, phone number or password.
- Online games: who is at the table, the rules, the moves, the result, chat messages (emoji and ready-made phrases only — there is no free text), and the tournament clock.
- Your rating and tournament game results; the tournaments you take part in.
- Friends and table invitations.
- When you were last online, to the nearest hour.
- A profile transfer parcel — your game history and games by link — if you move your profile to another phone. It is kept only while the transfer code is valid (15 minutes at most) and erased when claimed, cancelled or replaced.
What the game does not collect
Advertising ID, location, contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone, or information about other apps. Turn notifications are local: your phone asks the server itself, and the server stores no push tokens.
Problem reports
Settings → Report a problem builds a report: the game version, your phone model and Android version, a log of recent crashes (kept only on your phone) and, if you leave the box checked, a link to the open game (it contains player names) or the online game's number. You see the whole text before sending. The report is sent only when you tap Send (Copy in a browser) — with your email app or a messenger of your choice; the game itself never sends it anywhere.
Who can see it
Your nickname, tag and rating are visible to your opponents and friends; a game is visible to the players at the table and to members of the same tournament. Data is not shared with or sold to anyone else. The server runs on Cloudflare, which stores the data; request logs (including IP addresses) are kept for a few days.
How long it is kept
For as long as your profile exists. Results of finished games remain after you delete your profile — for your opponents these are their games too — but without your name.
How to delete
In the game: Profile → Manage profile → Delete online profile (before version 2.3: Play online → Delete profile). If you no longer have the phone, see how to delete your profile.
Children
The game is intended for everyone aged 13 and over; online play is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change and a new version of the game will say so.
